STAR WARS x ADIDAS ORIGINALS 2010 SPRING/SUMMER

A few years ago, adidas Consortium released a two-pack of Star Wars-inspired Superstars however for 2010, the two parties link up on legitimate terms

adidas Originals and Star Wars are set to link up for an upcoming 2010 spring/summer collection. Bringing together two brands with great visiblity and history, the collection should prove to be an interesting one as it encompasses footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and children. Expect some of adidas’ most iconic Originals models to get the full Force/Dark Side treatment. The collection will debut in January of 2010 with a subsequent fall/winter collection also in the works. Inspired by the galactic saga, the STAR WARS™ collection consists of limited edition as well as mass distribution footwear, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids. Classic adidas Originals track tops and several legendary sneaker styles are represented with characters and scenes from the epic saga in reinterpreted versions.

Expect to see Darth Vader and Stormtrooper graphics on select iconic Originals styles. Other key STAR WARS™ characters and memorable moments from the films will also be represented in innovative, cool ways.

The Spring/Summer STAR WARS™ collection will be introduced at retail beginning January 2010. Select retailers as well as adidas Originals Stores worldwide will carry the collection. AIR JORDAN V "RAGING BULL" RETRO PACK

The Air Jordan V Pack is officially set to release on May 30th. Though the inspiration for the pack, and it's nicknames, have been running wild around the Net, the Air Jordan V Pack is inspired by the Toro Bravo, a special bull bred for the Running of the Bulls in Pamplona, Spain. The pack features the Air Jordan V, which was the last Air Jordan MJ wore before he began on his unprecedented run of six championships in eight seasons. AIR YEEZY: I've probably blogged about this a hundred times. Looks like Nike and Kanye won't be releasing this to the public. Apparently Mr. West is a size 12. If I wear 8 pairs of socks and grow out my toe nails, I'll be able to wear 'em and obviously climb trees faster.

ADIDAS CONSORTIUM AZX

The biggest collaborative project this year in sneakerdom, the adidas Consortium AZX series pulls in 26 of the world’s most influential sneaker/streetwear stores, supporters and brands. From there they were each given the ability to create their own ZX model from adidas’ fabled running collection. Stay tuned as info becomes available between now and the August release.

NIKE + HUMAN RACE

On August 31, 2008 Nike is staging the largest running event of all time. 25 cities. 25 10k events. London, Los Angeles, Paris, Melbourne, Shanghai and Vancouver are among the cities participating.

The event is aiming to pull in a large sum of money for participating charities, including the Lance Armstrong Foundation and the UN Refugee Agency. Runners will be able to race for a cause, as well as say they were part of the worlds largest running event. To get in the mix, log on to nikeplus.com where you can register and also get training tips.

As an extra incentive each of the 25 cities will be treated to a special concert at the race finish site. In LA, Kanye will be hitting the Colieseum. One can only imagine he'll be sporting a special mock up of his signature shoe. Moby will take Wembley Stadium in London. Fall Out Boy will be in Chicago and Kelly Rowland in Paris (guess she is actually popular somewhere). An excellent event, and one that will surely connect legions of dedicated runners around the world.
